Reflection
Created for Harvard Conflux’s Art Tech Winter Residency 2026.
Reflection is an interactive installation that translates human movement into vibration, rotation, and light. Viewers’ presence activates a subwoofer beneath a shallow tray of water, creating ripples that project shifting reflections onto the ceiling. At the same time, a silver mirrored kinetic sculpture spins in response to movement, scattering light back into the room.
Within the residency’s theme Habitual Devotion, the work frames devotion as a continuous act of attention. The installation remains active only when presence is renewed; when movement fades, the water settles, the sculpture slows, and the reflections disappear.

Red Signs
An immersive video installation that traces repeated departures from home—seasonal return, marriage, emigration, and demolition—through the visual language of red in and from China. Recast from “good luck” decoration into a commanding signal, red symbols (福, 囍, 印, 拆) become instructions that mark when bodies and places must gather, cross thresholds, and leave.

Rainman
An interactive installation where a virtual umbrella can only be held for others, transforming shelter into a shared, relational gesture.

The Elevator
The Elevator is an interactive installation that uses a familiar transitional space to explore waiting, anticipation, and subtle shifts in power and perception. Through controlled movement and timing, the work turns an everyday mechanism into a moment of heightened awareness.
