Artistic Futures: Between Cultural Roots and Technological Frontiers

In today’s global context, art is continuously reshaped at the intersection of cultural heritage and technological innovation. From AI and immersive media to digital curating and institutional practice, emerging tools are transforming how art is created, shared, and experienced. At the same time, artists and scholars are rethinking how tradition, identity, and social history can be meaningfully expressed through contemporary forms.

This panel brings together a diverse group of thinkers and makers—a scholar of visual culture, a practicing artist with institutional insight, a digital artist/curator, and a renowned jewelry artist—to explore how Chinese creative voices are navigating this dynamic terrain. Together, their work spans academic research, artistic production, design innovation, and digital experimentation, offering a multifaceted vision of what lies ahead.

Panel Speakers: Jingzhe Cui (Chinese Artist; Director, Chinese Artists Association; Vice President, Hebei Artists’ Association; Vice Dean, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts), Anna Hu (Contemporary Jewelry Artist; Founder and CEO, ANNA HU HAUTE JOAILLERIE), Bohan Sun  (Digital Artist, Collector and Curator), Eugene Wang (Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Professor of Asian Art, Harvard University), Nix Liu Xin (Founder and CEO, Onceness and Play.Work Labs; Media Artist and Director)
